Cellulite treatment at GLIF Medical is a non-surgical procedure using focused Ultraformer MPT ultrasound, offered by Dr Peguy Télusma, MD, in Montreal.
How the treatment works
The treatment uses Ultraformer MPT technology to improve the appearance of cellulite (skin dimpling). Focused ultrasound stimulates deep collagen production and gradually firms the skin, without surgery. The areas usually treated are the thighs, buttocks, and other regions affected by cellulite.
Three pricing options are offered depending on the size of the area treated: starting at $799 for a small area, $1,500 for full thighs, or a 3-session package for $3,900 ($1,300 per session).
Cellulite, or skin dimpling, results from the structure of the connective tissue under the skin and affects a large share of the population regardless of body weight. The treatment does not permanently change this structure; instead, it acts on the firmness and quality of the skin covering it. The device is applied in sweeping passes over the targeted area, allowing larger surfaces such as the full thighs to be covered when that option is chosen. It is the same Ultraformer MPT device used for the clinic’s face, neck, and chin treatments, configured here for body areas.
Who it’s for
This treatment suits adults who want to improve skin firmness and texture in areas affected by cellulite, without surgery or downtime. It is not a weight-loss or fat-reduction treatment: the goal is firming and visually improving skin texture. A medical evaluation confirms that this treatment suits your skin type and the area of concern, and helps determine the pricing option best suited to the extent of your needs.
- Cellulite on the thighs, buttocks, or other body areas
- Looking for a single small area or full thighs
- Interested in a multi-session package rather than a single session
- Cellulite on the thighs, buttocks, or other body areas
- Looking for gradual skin firming
- Preference for a comfortable option, without surgery or downtime
What to expect and recovery
The session lasts about 45 minutes. The device is applied to the targeted area after a conductive gel is applied, following a path set by the physician. The treatment is described as comfortable, non-surgical, and downtime-free: an immediate return to regular activities is possible right after the session. No particular recovery period is required between sessions of the same package, beyond the interval recommended by the physician. When the 3-session package is chosen, sessions are generally spaced several weeks apart to respect the natural collagen renewal cycle, a pace confirmed during the consultation.
Expected results
Results develop gradually over the weeks following treatment, as collagen re-forms. The extent of improvement varies from person to person depending on skin quality, the size of the area treated, and the number of sessions performed. The number of recommended sessions, including whether the 3-session package fits your goals, is confirmed during the consultation, with no result guaranteed.
Maintaining good skin hydration and healthy lifestyle habits may help extend how long the benefits last, although no single factor can, on its own, guarantee a particular result.
