The Ultraformer MPT treatment at GLIF Medical is a non-surgical lift using focused ultrasound, offered by Dr Peguy Télusma, MD, in Montreal, for the face, the neck, or both.
How the treatment works
Ultraformer MPT delivers focused ultrasound to a precise depth under the skin, where thermal energy stimulates natural collagen production and gradually tightens loose tissue, with no incision and no injected product. The treatment is offered in three options, each targeting a different area:
- Face and neck (global treatment): CA$2,500.00
- Face only: CA$2,000.00
- Neck only: CA$1,500.00
The choice between the three options reflects where the first signs of laxity usually appear, often along the jawline and under the chin, before extending to the neck. Some patients choose the face-and-neck option to treat both areas in one session, while others prefer to target a single region based on their priorities.
These three options correspond to three distinct entries in the clinic’s catalogue, grouped here on a single page since they share the same technology and session length, differing only in the area treated and the price.
The best-suited option depends on the areas to be treated and the firming goals discussed with the physician during the consultation. Unlike a surgical lift, no incision is made: the ultrasound energy acts only on the deep layers of the skin, leaving the surface intact.
Who it’s for
This treatment suits adults with mild to moderate skin laxity of the face and/or neck who are looking for a non-surgical alternative to a traditional lift. It does not replace a surgical lift in cases of significant laxity: a medical consultation confirms whether Ultraformer MPT fits your situation or whether another approach should be considered. This consultation includes a skin quality assessment, a review of your medical history, and a discussion of priority areas based on your goals.
- Loss of firmness in the face and jawline contour
- Skin laxity in the neck area
- Looking for gradual firming without surgery or downtime
What to expect and recovery
The session lasts about 30 minutes. A conductive gel is applied to the area to be treated, then the device delivers ultrasound energy along a path set by the physician. The number of passes over each area is adjusted based on tissue thickness and the response observed during the session. Warmth or mild tingling is generally felt during the treatment, and no anesthesia is required. Temporary redness or warmth may follow the session, but no significant downtime is required: a return to regular activities is immediate. Good hydration and sun protection of the treated area are recommended in the days that follow, as with any treatment that promotes collagen renewal.
Expected results
Firming develops gradually over the weeks and months following the session, as new collagen forms. The extent of the result varies with age, skin quality, and the area treated. This is not a surgical lift, and the realistic degree of improvement should be discussed during the consultation, with no result guaranteed.
Some patients notice continued improvement for several months after the session, as collagen keeps reorganizing. Baseline skin quality, sun exposure, and daily skincare habits also affect how long the benefits last, and occasional maintenance sessions may be considered based on the results observed.
