This policy explains which cookies glifmedical.ca uses and why. It complements our Privacy Policy. In effect since July 7, 2026.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit. A first-party cookie is set by the site you are visiting; a third-party cookie is set by another domain, for example an embedded service such as a map. A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser; a persistent cookie remains until it expires or is manually deleted.
The cookies we use
This site uses a deliberately small number of cookies. We use no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies for profiling purposes.
- pll_language (first party, glifmedical.ca). Category: strictly necessary. Duration: 1 year. Purpose: remembers your chosen language (French or English) from one visit to the next.
Our Contact page embeds a Google Maps map. Google, a third-party provider, may set its own cookies when this map loads, under its own privacy policy, independent of ours.
Consent
Since the pll_language cookie is strictly necessary for the site’s bilingual operation, it is set automatically and does not require separate consent. No other cookie is set unless you load third-party content yourself, such as the map embedded on our Contact page.
Managing or blocking cookies
You can configure your browser at any time to refuse or delete cookies. Note that blocking the pll_language cookie will not prevent browsing, but will require you to reselect your language on each visit.
Changes
This policy may be updated if the cookies used by the site change. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
