What this website collects

This site has no contact form, booking form, or sign-up form. Through the site itself, we collect no personal information and no health information, apart from the technical cookie described below and our host’s standard technical logs.

Information collected in clinic

The core of our confidentiality obligations concerns information collected in person, when booking or during your treatments: contact details, demographic information, medical history and health information relevant to a treatment, signed consent forms, and, where applicable, before-and-after photographs added to your file. This information is kept in our internal clinical records, separate from this website.

How we collect your information

In person at the clinic, by phone, by email, or through the external booking platform Square (operated by Block, Inc.), which itself collects the information needed to book (name, contact details, chosen treatment) under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review that policy before booking.

Why we use your information

  • To plan and provide your medical aesthetic treatments.
  • To ensure clinical follow-up and meet our professional obligations to the Collège des médecins du Québec.
  • To bill and process payments.
  • To communicate with you about your appointments.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We never use your information for marketing purposes without your prior, explicit consent.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers, each bound by a protection obligation equivalent to our own: Square (Block, Inc.) for booking and payment, our web host Hostinger and the content delivery network Cloudflare for hosting and technical security, and Google for the map embedded on our Contact page. We do not share your information with any other third party except where required by law.

Internal access

Access to the personal and health information we hold is limited to Dr Peguy Télusma and authorized clinic staff, on a need-to-know basis.

Disclosure outside Québec

Some of our providers (Square, our host, our content delivery network) may process or store data on servers located outside Québec, including in the United States. Before any such transfer, we confirm that the information will benefit from protection equivalent to that required under applicable Québec law.

Consent and withdrawal

We obtain your consent at the appropriate time, notably at your first in-clinic consultation. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, understanding that doing so may prevent us from continuing to provide certain treatments to you.

Retention and destruction

Your clinical records are kept for the periods set out under the regulations of the Collège des médecins du Québec and applicable law, then securely destroyed. The site’s technical logs are kept for a limited period, for security purposes only.

Your rights

  • Access: obtain a copy of the information we hold about you.
  • Rectification: have inaccurate, incomplete, or ambiguous information corrected.
  • Withdrawal of consent, at any time.
  • Portability: receive, in a structured, commonly used technological format, the information you provided to us.
  • Cessation of dissemination and de-indexing, in the cases provided for by law.
  • Be informed of a confidentiality incident presenting a serious risk of harm.
  • File a complaint, first with our privacy officer and, if you consider it necessary, with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our privacy officer at [email protected]. We may ask for identification to confirm your identity.

Security measures

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. This list is not exhaustive and, as with any system, some residual risk cannot be entirely excluded. If you suspect a breach of the confidentiality of your information, contact us without delay.

Automated decisions and profiling

GLIF Medical uses no fully automated decision-making and no profiling, geolocation, or identification technology without your knowledge.

This site uses a single technical cookie, named pll_language, which remembers your chosen language (French or English) from one visit to the next. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. Details are set out in our Cookie Policy.

For anyone under 14 years of age, consent to the collection of personal information is obtained from the holder of parental authority.
